Went to look for lights at Jalan Berseh area. After shopping for almost an hour, we were tired. But hubby suggested going to Lights Arcade to get the PLCs. Andrew’s service was excellent. He took time to explain the different models to us and helped us calculate the cost and worked something out based on our budget. We also found a pair of chic bedside hanging lights and dining area lights we fancy.   Grabbed a quick dinner.

And went to Thomson Lighting to get the airplane light for the kids room. We saw it the week before. It’s gonna be a night light for the boys. Really beautiful. Initially the salesman quoted us $198 but discounted to $180. We called up the IMM branch and was quoted $179. So we went back to told the sales assistant that his colleague’s quote was much lower but refused to tell him how much was quoted. In the end, we got the showroom piece for $150!

Met the carpenter, Ah Keong. Nice, friendly chap. And he’s really good with his freehand perspective drawings. We’ve decided on the kitchen cabinets, the platform for our study room and the cabinets for both the toilet. Choose Grey and White for our kitchen cabinets. Very conventional hor!? 

Curtains After dinner, we went to Ho Kee to take a look at their Blanco over-mount rubbish system. Very expansive. $300+. According to my mom, havinf the rubbish bin inside the cabinets is not a good idea – smelly! And shopped around Tangjong Katong complex. Saw the roller blinds at Jimmy Textile. A good variety of material to choose from. Price is rather competitive since there are many shops selling the same stuff there. But we’ve gotten our curtains from them for our first house and found their service not too bad.
