Went back to our home this morning. Almost fainted! Look at the BIG, UGLY, BULKY air con trunkings running all over the place!

Hubby and I had a tiff over it! Because the ugliness is resulted from Hubby’s insistent on placing all air-cons in the MIDDLE of the ROOM! For him, practicality comes before aesthetic. I, of course is the reversed.

Side Track. Believe arguments are inevitable during renovations. But we rarely bicker and when we do, issues are resolved very quickly and we always leave the home at peace with each other. Good Feng Shui!

Anyway, we came up with the idea of concealing all the pipes with gypsum board. And when mom came over, she gave us a great idea – building cabinets with sliding doors under the window so that there is more storage space and at the same time, covers those ugly pipes. The cabinets should not have backings so that the air-con pipes can be access in case they choke. And we can even have a top to place stuff like photographs, lamp, etc. Will discuss with Patrick tomorrow. Gonna burn a BIG hole!

This weekend, things slowed down a little. Saturday, we went to IKEA to buy the wardrobe, bookshelves and other knick knacks! Sunday, we got the movers to quote! Boxes are in and we started with a little packing. Took a pic of our current home before stacks of boxes invade the living room.

Went to ALUMIX to confirm the cabinet. I am hoping and praying the renovation will be smoother (no more surprises!!) from now on … keeping my fingers and toes crossed!
