Finale : Living Room

Bought a Samsung 32” LCD which came with a free Home Theatre System. So the Living room is finally completed.

Needed a feature item for the entrance. Initially, I had wanted a fountain. However, the Feng Shui master advised against the idea as water facing the main door would means wealth flowing out of our home.

Thus, last weekend when we went to Far East flora to get some flowers we decided to build a little garden at the area facing the entrance. The problem is maintaining the plants. But well, if they withered, will probably just get artificial ones in future.

Finale : Study

A study is absolutely necessary for my family.

This was actually part of a balcony which looks like this before the renovation.

There was a drop from the living to the balcony thus our decision to built a platform.

Our workstations. From the window, we could see the reservoir. The air is fresh and cool. Makes working from home less painful!

Wanted to put some graduation photo in the area above my hub’s sword. The wall looks pretty empty.

Lots of books! Beside the study is our alter. Directly opposite (to the right) is the dining, (to the left) is the kitchen.

That’s the altar. Could not find a cabinet to fit the small area thus Ah Keong, our carpenter fab this one for us. FOC somemore!

This is where we keep our newspaper. Got this from IKEA. Ah Keong brought the whole thing back to his workshop, got it sand and varnish in wenge to fit the theme of our home. Also FOC for the excellent service.

Above the bench, we will be putting a collage of our family photo.

Finale : Kitchen

We wanted the kitchen to be bright thus the white kitchen top, the white upper cabinets and the light grey lower cabinets.

Really regreted on the colour combi because its really difficult to maintain. Grr!! I am already thinking that a couple of years down the road, I will change the upper cabinet doors to the frosted glass ones with silver trimming.

Above all, I wanted the kitchen to have the clean cut modern look. Thus, I do not hand any untensils on the walls. All ladels, scissors, kitchen towels are kept in the drawers.

And the TV .., we needed that for the kids. The maid needs to keep an eye of them while she cooks thus the decision to put a TV inside the kitchen.

Sink: Franke Acquario from Asia Excel

Hob & Hood : Rinnai Ceramics Hob and Hood from Asia Excel

Tap : Paffoni from Sim Siang Choon

Backsplash : Tempered Glass from Ho Bee

This is a lil cosy corner beside the fridge. Got this chic bar table top and stools from The Life Shop during their warehouse sale a couple of months back.

We usually dine here during the weekdays since hubby works late and the kiddos have their dinner early.

My pre-schooler simply loves to have candle light breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
